In response, the party president Jacob Zuma has ordered Zuma-Sambudla to issue an unconditional public apology to the Secretary-General, the President, party members, supporters, and the broader South African public. She is also required to extend her apology to all structures she serves in or leads.
The party has confirmed that an internal disciplinary process will be initiated to address the matter formally.
The statement further explains that failure to comply with these directives will carry “severe consequences, including immediate termination of her membership and removal from all party responsibilities.”
The MK Party has emphasised that all members, regardless of rank, must uphold the principles enshrined in its Constitution and Code of Conduct, reinforcing its stance on discipline and accountability.
