The Umkhonto weSizwe Party has confirmed the appointment of its national organiser, Floyd Shivambu, as the party’s Secretary-General.
Shivambu resigned from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in August.
He was one of the EFF’s founding members alongside Julius Malema in 2013.
Two other EFF members Advocate Dali Mpofu and Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane have resigned from the party and joined the MK party.
MK party president, Jacob Zuma has in consultation with the MK party National officials, appointed Commander Nkyiko Floyd Shivambu as the Secretary General.
This is on the backdrop of the resignation letter that was received from the previous Secretary-General, Dr Sifiso Maseko.
