Minister Nobuhle Nkabane speaking at Budget Vote Breakfast with National Skills Fund (NSF) beneficiaries on Wednesday in Cape Town.
Higher Education Minister Dr. Nobuhle Nkabane was tight lipped when asked about a charge of fraud laid against her by the Democratic Alliance (DA) yesterday.
The DA believes that Nkabane lied to Parliament with regards to an independent panel that appointed the chairpersons to serve on the boards of the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETA).
🚨 The DA has laid criminal charges against Minister Nkabane for lying to Parliament and abusing her role to advance ANC cadre deployment. While President Ramaphosa stays silent on corruption, the DA is fighting back. Join our fight for accountability here:… pic.twitter.com/gJVXiqboFv

The party had also laid complaints with Parliament’s Ethics Committee as well as the Public Protector to determine whether Nkabane had breached her code of conduct.
Addressing beneficiaries of the National Skills Fund at an event in Cape Town, Nkabane’s response to this was short.
“Basically, there is nothing I am going to say. I am going to then comply with the rule of law. I am going to wait for processes to unfold,” says Nkabane.
