The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is expected to resume today at the High Court in Pretoria.

Last week, defence counsel Zandile Mshololo said there is no evidence that suggests that accused number 5 Fisokuhle Ntuli, drove the car allegedly used as the getaway vehicle when Meyiwa was killed.

Ntuli and four other accused are on trial for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain.

The alleged coordinator of Meyiwa’s murder has denied any involvement in the killing, as well as any communication with the alleged mastermind, Kelly Khumalo.

Ntuli’s lawyer Advocate Zandile Mshololo put his version to lead investigator Brigadier Bongani Gininda.

The state also believes that Ntuli was the driver of the getaway car on the night of the murder and that Ntuli distributed money to other accused believed to have been a payout for the assassination.
