The North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria is expected to hear testimony today on the photos taken of the inspection in loco conducted earlier this month in the Senzo Meyiwa trial.
On July 4, the High Court in Pretoria moved to Vosloorus on Gauteng’s East Rand to view one of the locations where accused one Muzi Sibiya was allegedly assaulted.
Sibiya and four others are on trial for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain.
Police photographer Gesani Mankanyi is expected to bring additional photos taken in Vosloorus the day after the inspection.
“Because on the fourth, you did not take pictures of the scene where Brig Gininda [lead investigator Brigadier Bongani Gininda] pointed out at the police station, who then gave instructions to go back on the fifth to the police station to put some cones and take photos, which you then compiled in the photo album?”
Mankanyi says, “When I’m doing my job, I want to do it thoroughly. I saw it fit to go there when there’s no one, when it’s clear, so that I [can] show the court how the police station is.”
