The late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain, Senzo Meyiwa captured during a match.
The state in the Senzo Meyiwa trial is expected to go through the contents of the statement alleged to have been made by defence witness Sifiso Gwabini Zungu when the murder trial resumes on Wednesday morning at the High Court in Pretoria.
It is alleged that Zungu hosted a gathering at a hostel in Vosloorus, on Gauteng’s East Rand, where all five accused were allegedly spotted the evening Meyiwa was murdered.
Zungu has alleged that he was assaulted by the police and forced to sign a document he did not read.
Prosecutor Bongani Baloyi took Zungu through the signatures on the statement: “I don’t like it if it now appears that I’m keeping quiet or I don’t want to answer when I’m being asked, but I did mention to Advocate Baloyi that I only placed an S. But in this statement, there is an SP and there is a part where even the signatures do not look the same.”
