Members of Parliament from across the political spectrum are debating President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (SONA).
The debate will take place Tuesday and Wednesday and the president will reply on Thursday.
In his SONA, Ramaphosa indicated that the country was turning the corner in ensuring economic growth.
He also made an undertaking that government will continue to use public spending for infrastructure development and job creation.
In addition, he announced that the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) will be deployed to the Western Cape and Gauteng to fight gang-related violence.
