Mbombela expecting economic boom from Innibos Festival

Businesses in Mpumalanga are gearing up for the Innibos National Art Festival to be held in Mbombela this week.

The annual festival is known for attracting thousands of visitors to the province’s Lowveld region.

Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism CEO, Linda Grimbeek, “Innibos brings about R90 million into the area every year. So, it benefits the guesthouses, hotels, restaurants, basically all the shops and petrol stations. And Innibos is not just on the festival terrain in Nelspruit, it really spreads across the entire district almost, with concerts taking place in the likes of Sudwala Caves, etc. Even if you are not an African person, the magic of Innibos is just contagious.”
