Mathabatha steps aside from his role in the ANC

African National Congress (ANC) Limpopo Chairperson Stanley Mathabatha has stepped aside from his role in the ANC due to processes followed for the Vhembe and Waterberg Regional Conferences.

In a letter seen by SABC News, he says there are unethical and what he calls un-ANC tendencies occurring.

Mathabatha says he is available to engage with the party’s national leadership, but until then, he is stepping aside.

He says his decision was motivated by the concerning misconduct and lack of ANC values in the organization.

Mathabatha posted the announcement in the party’s provincial officials WhatsApp group.
