Deputy President Paul Mashatile has sent condolences to the family of Dikgang Uhuru Moiloa, the former Gauteng MEC of Housing.
Moiloa, who was also a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, passed away over the weekend.
In a statement, Mashatile says Moiloa served with honour and vigour.
I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of comrade Dikgang “Uhuru” Moiloa who passed away on Saturday.
Uhuru, as he was affectionately known, was a true servant of the people.

Meanwhile, African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula described Moiloa as a great leader.
He was speaking outside Moiloa’s home in Kagiso.
“In comrade Uhuru, we have lost a great leader, we have lost a principled leader, we have lost a champion of ANC renewal, we have lost a revolutionary to the act. In comrade Uhuru, we have lost an organic intellectual of our movement. In comrade Uhuru, we have lost a loyalist,” says Mbalula.
