Newly appointed Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Vuyisile Ncata
The Police District Commissioner in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, Lieutenant General Vuyisile Ncata, has been announced as the Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner.
The announcement was made by the National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola at the Provincial Headquarters of the SAPS in Zwelitsha.
Masemola says he is confident that they secured the correct candidate to fight crime in the province.
Ncata has 31 years of experience.
He was born and bred in Kwazakhele in Nelson Mandela Bay.
He started his career at a police station and went to the Eastern Cape Province, where he worked as a station commander at the Nyanga Police Station.
He was promoted to Brigadier as the Station Commander of the police station.

Last week, Masemola announced the reappointment of Lt Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi as the KZN Provincial Commissioner.
On Monday, he announced the appointment of the Free State Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Lesia. Lesia has 39 years of service.
