The George Magistrate’s Court.
The case against two men arrested for the murder of alleged underworld kingpin, Mark Lifman, has been remanded for bail application to the 12th and 13th of December in the George Magistrate’s Court.
The 57-year-old was gunned down at the Garden Route Mall last week Sunday.
Lifman was scheduled to appear in the High Court in Cape Town last Monday, on several charges including the murder of alleged steroid smuggler, Brian Wainstein.
He is the fourth accused in the Wainstein murder trial to have been gunned down.
Lifman has been associated with the private security industry and was alleged to have been involved in extortion rackets.
Meanwhile, the media has been given permission to film proceedings in the bail application of the two suspects implicated in Lifman’s murder.
The court reprimanded media organisations for publishing the identities of the accused since an ID parade still needs to be done.
