Accused in Mark Lifman’s murder appear in court
Two men accused of the murder of alleged underworld crime boss and businessman, Mark Lifman, will appear in the George Regional Court in the Western Cape today.
Lifman was gunned down in the parking lot of the Garden Route Mall in November last year.
The accused were arrested a few hours after the murder.
Their case was transferred to the regional court during their last appearance in May.
It’s expected that a trial date will be set.
However, during the last court appearance, both the magistrate and the defence accused the state of delaying tactics.
The defence for both accused also threatened to have the matter struck off the roll if there are any more delays.
