Anti-gang unit detectives in Cape Town are searching for men who shot and killed alleged underworld kingpin, Andre Naude.

Fifty-five-year-old Naude was gunned down in Parow yesterday afternoon.

Late last night, detectives were still combing the crime scene for clues.

Police say a vehicle pulled up next to the deceased, who was in the company of friends and the occupants of the vehicle fired several shots.

Naude was killed and a 61-year-old man was wounded.

Two other men, aged 45 and 54, escaped injury.

A case of murder and three of attempted murder were opened for investigation. No arrests have yet been made.

Naude’s killing follows that of another alleged underworld leader, Mark Lifman, who was gunned down in George a few months ago.

Naude, Lifman and the alleged drug syndicate group Sexy Boys boss, Jerome Booysen, were on trial in the High Court for the murder of alleged steroid smuggler, Brian Wainstein.
