A man wanted by KwaZulu-Natal police in connection with a string of extortion cases in Marianhill and the Durban Metro areas has now also been linked to a double murder in Pinetown last month.
Provincial police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the 22-year-old woman and her 52-year-old mother were shot dead at their home in the Nazareth area in March.
The suspect has been on the run from police since 2020 after he failed to appear in court for another case.
Netshiunda says anyone who might have information on the whereabouts of Linda Hlongwa, also known as Mjinja and Putin, can help the police in their investigation.
