Police in KwaZulu-Natal say they are searching for suspects after the burnt bodies of four people were found in two cars at Inanda Dam. Police say they responded to the scene in the Umatata area in Inanda on Saturday where two burnt-out vehicles were found.
Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says upon arrival at the scene, police found one body burnt beyond recognition inside a Nissan NP200, and three other bodies were found inside a Toyota Rumion, also burnt beyond recognition. “Police also found three carcasses of cattle next to the NP200 vehicle and are now investigating four counts of murder. The motive of the killings is unknown at this stage, however police suspect that the incident could be related to stock theft.”
