The hunt for four suspects wanted in connection with the assassination of insolvency lawyer Bouwer van Niekerk continues.
He was shot and killed at his practice in Saxonwold in Johannesburg on Friday.
At the time of his murder, Van Niekerk was working on high-profile cases, including a major insolvency case involving an alleged Ponzi scheme.
Gauteng police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says two of the four suspects entered Van Niekerk’s offices and fired shots.
“The unknown men fled the scene and the 43-year-old attorney was declared dead on the scene. The motive of the attack is unknown at this stage and police investigations are underway.
