Police say a man has been shot and killed in Bonteheuwel on the Cape Flats.
Police Spokesperson Wesley Twigg says officers attended to the crime scene earlier today, where they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
Twigg says the victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel.
He says the motive for the attack is yet to be determined, and no arrests have been made.
Meanwhile, as violence escalates in the area, calls have been made for the deployment of soldiers to restore calm in the area.
Cape Flats Safety Forum Chairperson, Abie Isaacs, says they are under siege from gang violence.
