Orlando Pirates in a match with Mamelodi Sundowns at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, 23 August 2025.
Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates could not be separated in their Betway Premiership encounter on Saturday afternoon. The two teams played to a 1-all draw at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria.
Sundowns are still top of the log, and with this draw, Pirates have moved to third spot on the table, trailing Sundowns by three points, having played two games less.
An attempt by Peter Shalulile in the 18th minute sailed over the bar. However, Shalulile made amends and put Sundowns in the lead a few minutes later.
Twenty-year-old midfielder Camren Dansin found the equaliser for Bucs with a scorcher from outside the box, which beat Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams hands down.
In another match, Orbit College improved their position on the log after beating Magesi 3-1 in the Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg.
