The case of former City of Cape Town Member of the Mayoral Committee for Human Settlements, Malusi Booi, and his co-accused is set to proceed in the local Magistrate’s Court today.
The group’s charges include money laundering, racketeering and fraud. The charges are related to tender fraud amounting to over R1 billion.
The State alleges that Booi, a former DA member of the Mayoral Committee and his co-accused were part of a criminal enterprise led by alleged crime boss Ralph Stanfield, who is also expected to appear in court today in the same case.
