This is in about 24 hours after the Department opened the fourth sluice gate at the Vaal Dam.
Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina and Deputy Minister David Mahlobo will visit the Vaal Dam today.
They are going there to assess the dam infrastructure amid heavy inflows into the dam due to ongoing rainfall in the Vaal River catchment.
Families living along the banks of the dam and in the flood, line have been urged to evacuate after the department opened the fifth sluice gate on Sunday.
