Betway Premiership newcomers Magesi FC have beaten high-flying TS Galaxy 2-1 in the only league match on Sunday. Magesi started like a house on fire, taking the lead as early as the 20th minute through John Mokone.
But it did not take long for Kamogelo Sebelebele to equalise for the visitors in the 38th minute.
It was 1-all at half-time. Magesi forward Delano Abrahams restored the lead for the Limpopo-based side in the 54th minute. Galaxy tried everything possible to claw their way back into the game, but it was not to be.
Magesi, who were threatened with relegation a few weeks ago, are now two points away from the top eight spot with 29 points after 25 games.
