Suspended National Deputy Police Commissioner General Shadrack Sibiya returns to the stand at the Madlanga Commission Monday morning
Sibiya will continue facing cross-examination on his conduct regarding the disbandment of the PKTT.
He is also expected to answer questions on his relationship with attempted murder accused, Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.
Sibiya is expected to field tough questions on his relationship with Matlala. Testimony before the Madlanga Commission states that Sibiya financially benefitted from his relationship with Matlala.
It has been alleged that Sibiya received at least R2 million from Matlala for a property venture.
It has also been alleged that General Sibiya also received R300 000 from Matlala which was a donation for his son’s wedding.
Sibiya has testified before the Madlanga Commission that he first met Matlala when he came to his office to complain about his Medicare24 contract.
