Social media personality Musa Khawula.
The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has remained mum on the possible appearance of entertainment blogger Musa Khawula before the Inquiry.
On Tuesday evening, Khawula shared communication on the social media platform X from a senior investigator who is believed to work for the Commission.

The communication states that the investigator would like to discuss matters pertaining to the Commission.
Khawula’s name came up at the Commission on numerous occasions following testimony that his arrest was politically influenced.
However, Commission spokesperson Jeremy Michaels says the Commission will not engage on matters regarding witnesses on a public platform.
“Again, for our part, we are now not going to get into that conversation in public. And so we want to respect the confidentiality of the commission’s engagements with individuals. We certainly don’t want to encourage that kind of discussion.”
“We would also want to discourage individuals with whom the commission is having confidential engagements to then be going public and, you know, putting out on social media the commission’s engagements with them.”

Meanwhile, the Commission has been postponed to Thursday after a crime intelligence officer who handles informants has fallen ill.
His legal counsel brought a postponement application.
The Commission has taken issue with the medical certificate that the witness has produced, with Commissioner Sesi Baloyi questioning that it said nothing about his condition.
“It is unacceptable that we’ve got A1 this morning. It says nothing about the condition of the patient and whether this patient has been seen [by] this person [doctor, in the way that I’ve read. That, according to my knowledge … doesn’t tell us that we have assessed this patient. And that this is their opinion that he cannot come and appear before us,” adds Baloyi.
Suspended City of Ekurhuleni Human Resources (HR) head, Linda Gxasheka, is expected to testify on Thursday.
