A 36-year-old woman has been arrested for the alleged kidnapping and killing of her 72-year-old father at Mphanama Magagamatlala outside Apel in Limpopo.
Gisbon Makubung was allegedly hijacked and kidnapped from his home four weeks ago. He was found with severe injuries inside his car two days later.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says Makubung was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Ledwaba says Makubung’s daughter was arrested this week, several days after a 42-year-old man was charged with the same crime.
“Further police investigation led to the arrest of the deceased’s daughter, aged 36, in addition to the initial arrest of the 42-year-old. The two will appear before the Sekhukhune Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, facing charges of car hijacking, kidnapping, murder, and robbery.”
