A self-taught Limpopo technician says he wants to impart his skills to the youth. 55-year-old Gideon Tshisimba from Matidza Village, near Louis Trichardt, has invented a money counting machine named, Verti Note Counter.
The machine has even been endorsed by the Central Bank of China and is already in operation in the east Asian country.
His machine is programmed to work with over 40 different currencies.
Tshisimba says he relied on his natural talent and the knowledge he acquired working at a bank.
“This comes from God because I was fixing radios, fixing cars. I do everything using my hands. That’s when I started making the counting machine. I worked for 20 years for the note company with the drop safe. That is why I started making my own machine. It took me five years to make this machine,” he says.
