Limpopo soccer fans displeased with SAFA NEC banning their clubs

Soccer fanatics in Limpopo are displeased that the SAFA NEC has resolved to ban clubs from the province and some Eastern provinces in the national promotional playoffs that are underway in Pretoria, Gauteng due to unresolved disputes.

The fans are blaming SAFA in the province for failing to resolve disputes before the beginning of the ABC Motsepe promotional playoffs.

The Limpopo competition committee had forwarded Mpheni Defender’s name to represent the province in the playoffs amidst an unresolved dispute, but the submission was rejected.

A soccer fan, Mukondeleli Nemavhulana, says SAFA has failed soccer fans.

“We are very much disappointed with the Limpopo SAFA administration, they failed the masses of the province. They could have dealt with their legal disputes earlier in order for Limpopo to have a team to represent us. We would have stood a good chance to get one team from the province through to Motsepe Foundation and my recommendation is  Limpopo ABC since I’m a big fan. ”

Vondwe XI Bullets FC is one of the clubs participating in the second tier of ABC Motsepe League. Its chairperson Phathu Siebe has expressed disappointment at the exclusion of the province in the promotional play-offs.

“We are very much disappointed as a province the way they do their things. Since we started this season it was not been acceptable to all of us. Even if we lodge complaints with the league we don’t even get responses. So I’m not surprised that there is no team sent to represent the province.”
