Limpopo police say they have confiscated counterfeit goods worth millions of rand in various stores in Burgersfort.
Police raided more than 10 shops.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says they recovered counterfeit goods, including clothing items and cosmetics.
“Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe commended the team for swiftly operationalizing the information, which led to the recovery of the counterfeit goods. She also sent out a stern warning to communities and the business sector that buy suspected stolen goods. She pointed out that receiving or buying stolen goods is an offence, and those found in possession of such goods will be arrested and prosecuted. Police investigations are ongoing.”
