A Limpopo male nurse wanted in connection with the killing of his girlfriend has been found hanging from a tree at the Nkowankowa industrial area outside Tzaneen.
The deceased, identified as Victor Shivambu, was wanted for stabbing Faith Shikhibana to death. They were both nurses at Mavambe Youth Care Centre near Malamulele.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says, though they don’t suspect any foul play, they’re investigating.
“Preliminary information further revealed that he was a suspect wanted in connection with the brutal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, 44-year-old Mihlothi Faith Shikhibana, which occurred on Monday, 21 April 2025, also in Nkowankowa. While the motive behind the apparent suicide remains the subject of ongoing investigation, police have opened an inquest docket to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.”
