Limpopo Education MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya says the province’s 2024 matric results show that they are on the right track. Lerule-Ramakhanya was speaking at the provincial matric results announcement in Polokwane on Tuesday.

The province has achieved 85.01%, an increase of 5.5% from last year’s results.

Lerule-Ramakhanya says good matric results will produce more skilled workers for the province.

“What this means to us is that it confirms that Limpopo is a province on the rise. We have got potential and one of the things that we are aiming at is to outline our curriculum with the developmental goals of the province. If we keep getting it right, it means that we are going to start contributing towards the economic spin-off, to contribute positively towards the people of the province, being trained and being skilled, and also to give hope to learners to say I can start at ECD, I will arrive at Grade 12.”
