The Economic Development Department in Limpopo has warned liquor traders who do not adhere to trading hours, that they will have penalties imposed or have their trading licenses revoked.
Department spokesperson Hitekani Magwedze says the operating hours for liquor outlets are until 2am, as per the Limpopo liquor regulation.
Magwedze says inspectors will collaborate with police to monitor liquor traders during the Easter period.
“There will be penalties in a form of fees that these people will have to pay. I know that SAPS has laws that functions in them to enforce these fees, that is why we work closely with them but also from our end we also issue out warnings.”
