Mduduzi Mnisi, the man accused of killing 14-year-old Likhona Fose, is due back in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court today.
He was granted bail of R5000 on Wednesday.
He is charged with the premeditated murder of Fose whose mutilated body was found in an open veld at Durban Deep last month.
At the time of his arrest, Mnisi had been on parole.
He was released from prison in December 2018 where he was serving an 18-year term for attempted murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

During Mnisi’s bail application on Wednesday, Investigating Officer Moses Semosa testified that an eyewitness had seen Mnisi going to his place with Fose on May 31, the day the girl was reported missing.
Mnisi denies killing the teenager.
In his defence, he called his girlfriend who testified in court that they were together at her place in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, the whole time and even spent the night together.
But, analysis of Mnisi’s cellphone records links his phone to a cellphone tower in Kagiso near Roodepoort around 8pm on that day.
