Inside a court
The bail application of two men accused of gunning down alleged Cape Town underworld kingpin, Mark Lifman, has been postponed until next month in the George Magistrates Court in the Western Cape.
The suspects, aged 37 and 53, were arrested hours after Lifman was gunned down in the parking lot at the Garden Route Mall on the 3rd of November.
One of the accused is a former policeman who worked in the special task force in Cape Town.
The bail hearing has been set down for the 16th and 27th of January for defence lawyers to consult with their clients.
Alleged underworld bosses, Jerome Booysen and Andre Naude were amongst those attending the bail application.
They are on trial in the High Court in Cape Town for the murder of steroid smuggler Brian Wainstein.
Lifman was accused number one in the matter.
