Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi will engage rural communities in northern Pretoria on their service delivery problems today.
The aim of the Rural Safety and Service Delivery Imbizo is to bring together local authorities, law enforcement, and communities from Vastfontein, Hammanskraal, and Petronella.
They will discuss ways of improving coordination between government and communities with regard to the delivery of basic services.
“Crime in Gauteng remains a serious concern with the province consistently recording some of the highest crime rates in the country. In rural areas, crime is often characterised by stock theft, house break-ins, and illegal immigration. Service delivery challenges, such as infrastructure damage, also persist. The Imbizo will provide a platform for community members to voice their concerns and seek solutions to these ongoing issues. ”
Gauteng Premier Panyaza @Lesufi will tomorrow, 29 March 2025, lead a high-level
