The Bulls will have to wait another year to see whether they can break their United Rugby Championship title drought. Irish powerhouse Leinster won their first title since the 2020/2021 season, beating the Pretoria-based franchise 32-7 at Croke Park in Dublin.

Leinster started like a house on fire, scoring two converted tries in the first 15 minutes and adding a third midway through the first half to lead 19-nil at the break.

The Bulls scored their only points of the match after 50 minutes when replacement hooker Akker van der Merwe went over for a try that was converted by Johan Goosen. Leinster added a fourth try late in the match to put the result beyond any doubt. This was the Bulls’ third final in the last four seasons of URC rugby.
