Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ronald Lamola is calling on all citizens to pledge their support for the newly launched South African Chapter of the Anti-Apartheid Movement.
This was heard during the launch of the Movement last night in Freedom Park, Tshwane.
Its aim is to set the basis for the mobilisation of a Global Anti-Apartheid Movement to hold Israel accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people.
Lamola is urging South Africans to show their support to the people of Palestine.
“This movement becomes very important for the people here in South Africa to mobilize but also for the people of the world and the solidarity for the people of Palestine. And I want to congratulate the anti-apartheid movement here in South Africa for this bold step you are taking.”
