Educators of Sibusisiwe Comprehensive Technical High School at Umbumbulu in KwaZulu-Natal say being under resourced has not deterred them from ensuring a 100% matric pass rate for three consecutive years.
The overpopulated rural school has been engulfed by many social and economic challenges.
However, against all odds, the Matric Class of 2025 has retained the school’s pass record, with 236 of the pupils obtaining a bachelor pass.
Principal Emmanuel Duma says the school supported the learners throughout their academic year.
He adds that involvement and support from parents is also crucial.
Teachers celebrated the 100% pass rate.
