KwaZulu-Natal Hawks Head Major-Gen Lesetja Senona
KwaZulu-Natal police have responded to claims made by KwaZulu-Natal Hawks Head Major-Gen Lesetja Senona that he was kicked out of his office and his devices confiscated on the instruction of the Provincial Police Commissioner Lt. Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
Senona further claimed that after being removed from the office, he was followed back to his residence in Durban by marked SAPS vehicles.
In response, police in the province have accused Maj-Gen Senona of breaching security protocols by entering the building and not signing in as required.
Senona is said to have arrived at the police headquaters and on the street parking opposite the building instead of his designated parking bay inside the building. He then entered the building followed by his secretary.
According to the police, his action raised concerns.

In letter from his lawyer to the Acting National Head of the Hawks, he raised concerns about his safety.
The security personal informed the Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi who then instructed them to ask Senona what he was doing in the office.
Police further state that Maj-Gen Senona then chose to leave the office and wanted to take the state computer and other documents with him. He was then asked to leave the state property behind but took his state issued phone.
Mkhwanazi then informed the Acting National Head of the Hawks.
