The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance is urging residents to exercise caution as inclement weather conditions are expected to hit various parts of the province. About seven people lost their lives when several parts of the province experienced severe storms in recent days. The heavy rains resulted in infrastructure collapses, mudslides and flooded roads. The hardest hit areas were largely in the south of the Durban metro. Provincial COGTA spokesperson, Senzelwe Mzila says residents affected by the inclement weather conditions should head to safety precautions.
