Northern Cape police are investigating an inquest docket following the death of a 12-year-old girl in Kuruman who died after allegedly consuming snacks from a local spaza shop.
Provincial police spokesperson, Timothy Sam says preliminary investigations indicate the deceased and her two siblings were rushed to Kuruman hospital after consuming snacks.
Sam says the girl was declared dead when she arrived at the local hospital.
“The Batlharos police are investigating an inquest docket following the death of a 12-year-old girl in Kuruman. Preliminary investigations indicate the deceased and her two siblings allegedly consumed snacks from a local spaza shop in Batlharos. The deceased later became ill and was rushed to the Kuruman hospital where she was declared deceased on arrival. The autopsy results will form part of the investigation,” says Sam.
