SIU spokesperson, Kaizer Kganyago
Minister of Justice Mamoloko Kubayi has strongly condemned threats against the spokesperson of the Special Investigating Unit (SIU), Kaizer Kganyago.
This follows messages reportedly issued by a representative of Omar’s Motor Den, a dealership at the centre of allegations under investigation by the SIU in relation to the Tembisa Hospital tenders matter involving Morgan Maumela.
According to the minister’s spokesperson, Terrence Manase, the dealership representative, Yusuf Omar, publicly expressed dissatisfaction on social media.
“Minister Kubayi strongly condemns the remarks made by a representative of Omar’s Motor Den, in relation to the SIU investigation into the Tembisa Hospital tender matter. The minister makes it clear that threats or any form of incitement against Mr Kganyago, will not be tolerated. She emphasizes that he speaks in his official capacity and that any grievances with the SIU must be pursued through lawful constitutional in line with the rule of law.”
