Springbok captain Siya Kolisi says the Boks will need 15 players on the pitch at all times if they are to beat Ireland for the first time in Dublin in 13 years.
The Boks play Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday evening in the fourth match of their end of year tour.
Kolisi says his teammates have been working hard to improve their tackle techniques so as not to fall foul of the officials.
“We have been working really hard since the beginning on all the controllable that we can level, changing, wrapping and all that kind of stuff. We have been doing that over and over, but the one thing about us, we are an aggressive team and we can’t take that away hence why we work so hard on those things to make sure that we can all stay on the field. Ireland is a really good team. That is why we struggled for so many years winning here. Because we are going to need everybody at the game, and also, it is all about taking your opportunities we have had. The games we have lost by one or two or three points when we get the opportunity at the end, we don’t take them. So, we have learnt a lot from our previous games and we have worked really hard this week. It is a very important game … everybody knows that. So, we have to be ready and be at our best and take our opportunities in every single moment that we get them this weekend.”
