Former Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa says he is not interested in any position after corruption charges against him were withdrawn.
Kodwa is an ANC NWC and NEC member.
In October, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) withdrew the State Capture related charges against Kodwa and his co-accused Jehan Mackay stating that prospects of successfully prosecuting the pair had diminished.
Speaking on the sidelines of the ANC NWC meeting with the KZN Provincial Executive Committee (PEC), Kodwa says although it was difficult, he is happy to be back and serving his organisation.
“Difficult period for me but I think there is a lot I have learnt from that period. I am not entitled to any position, and I am very clear about it. But I am here now because I am elected by the 55th conference of the ANC, both as the member of the NWC and the NEC, that’s what excites me to be back again in the structures of the ANC, to help contribute towards building the ANC.”
