Woman appears in Belville Magistrate’s Court.
Counsel for the woman accused of snatching a nine-day-old baby from the Middestad Mall in Bellville, Cape Town has submitted that her children’s rights will be infringed upon if she’s denied bail.
Cape Town police, however, insist that it won’t be in the interest of justice for her to be released.
The 37-year-old woman was arrested in Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain with the baby in her arms days after the infant went missing.
She is applying for bail in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court and the matter has been postponed to next Wednesday.
