Kaizer Chiefs plays against TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium.
Kaizer Chiefs have won their fourth game in a row after beating TS Galaxy 2-nil at the FNB Stadium earlier on Sunday afternoon.
Chiefs scored a goal in each half to cement their position on third spot.
The game had to suspended for more than twenty minutes to wait for the floodlights to switch on at the stadium.
Kaizer Chiefs were looking for their fourth win in a row in the Betway Premiership against a struggling T.S Galaxy at home.
A win was going to cement Kaizer Chiefs third spot on the log table and take them to 36 points.
The match saw the return of first choice keeper Brandon Petersen who missed Amakhosi’s last five games.
Chiefs made three changes to the team that came from behind to beat Orbit College 3-1 six days ago.
On the other hand, T.S Galaxy wanted to return to winning ways after a string of poor results, having failed to win in their last eight matches.
Chiefs won a free kick just outside the box in the opening stages but failed to capitalise.
Despite controlling the match Chiefs did not use any of the scoring chances that came their way.
Finally, Flavio da Silva broke the deadlock to put Chiefs in the lead ten minutes before the break. It was 1-nil at half-time.
Galaxy keeper Ira Tape denied defender Aden McCarthy in the second half. It got dark at the FNB Stadium midway through the second half, and the game had to be stopped for several minutes to wait for the flood lights to switch on.
The match finally resumed and Da Silva wasted a good opportunity to score his brace. Glody Lilepo made it 2-nil in the 74th minute after a goalkeeping blunder by Tape.
