The Johannesburg High Court has reserved judgment in the bail denial appeal judgment of murder accused, Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe.
He is appealing the decision made by the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court to deny him bail, saying that he is not a danger to society nor is he a flight risk.
Molefe is accused of being behind the murder of prominent music producer Oupa Sefoka, popularly known as DJ Sumbody, in 2022.
He faces multiple charges including murder, being in possession of unlicensed firearms and conspiracy to commit murder.
Judge Brad Wanless says the judgment will be handed down soon.
“This court will reserve judgment. It will attempt bearing in mind that the question of bail is always an urgent one. Whatever the court may ultimately find, will endeavor to give judgment in this matter, as soon as possible,” says Wanless.
