Johannesburg Emergency Services are urging motorists to be extra cautious on the roads, as rainy conditions persist over most parts of the city.
Residents in low lying areas are also urged to be extra vigilant and to avoid rivers and streams.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, says they will be on high alert to respond to any eventualities.
“Our aquatic rescue unit which is specialised to which respond to water related emergencies together with our disaster management teams and fire stations are on high alert for any emergencies which might occur,” says Mulaudzi.
