Joburg EMS urge road users to exercise caution due to rainfall


The City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services ( Joburg EMS) has urged road users to exercise caution due to persistent rainfall across the city.  

Residents are advised to obey road traffic signs, reduce speed, and maintain a safe following distance. 

Pedestrians are cautioned to look out for oncoming traffic when crossing streets. 

Joburg EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi says emergency teams are on standby to respond to any incidents. 

“On our side as the City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services. Together with our specialised team, which responds to water-related emergencies. Our water rescue units will remain on higher alert, monitoring all seven regions of the city for any emergencies which might occur. Our residents are encouraged to call our emergency management services command and control centre 011-375-5911 for any life-threatening emergencies.”
