Jamaica beats Banyana 3-2 in international friendly

Defending African champions, Banyana Banyana, have suffered a fourth successive defeat as they prepare for the defense of their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco next year.

The FIFA Women’s 8^th place higher ranked Jamaica beat Banyana 3-2 in their second international friendly in Montego Bay earlier this morning.

But Coach Desiree Ellis is not too disappointed with the performance.

An under strength Banyana who played without a striker due to a late change, led 1-0 at half time. However, Ellis says the home team’s 3 goals in 18 minutes in the second half subjected Banyana to another defeat, despite improved defense.
