Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) Gauteng Chairperson Bonginkosi Dhlamini says the party is consolidating its support in Gauteng province ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections.
Dhlamini was speaking at the Jabulani Amphitheater in Soweto where crowds have gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the party under the theme “Celebrate 50 Years of Resilience, Service, and Integrity”.
The IFP was founded on the 21st of March 1975 at KwaNzimela in Melmoth, KwaZulu-Natal, by the late Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
“Today’s event will see members reflect on the IFP’s five decade journey lead by our leader Velenkosini Hlabisa.”
